Scout is a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV), well maintained and configured around safe, efficient drilling and bolting on the seabed. Typical work includes securing cages, setting heavy moorings and fixing bolts into subsea structures. Change the tooling and the vehicle takes on other underwater tasks: the payload defines the mission rather than the vehicle itself.
Scout extends the company’s programme of integrated remote and autonomous offshore working, and broadens what we can put on the seabed. Dredging and intervention scopes that once called for commercial divers can now be run from the surface. That is the point of building systems this way: fewer people in the water, better safety margins, and a steady transfer of intervention work onto remotely operated tooling.
