How Raptor Technologies Ltd handles personal information collected through this website.

Last updated: 21 July 2026

In short

The short version

  • This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising trackers, and loads nothing from third parties.
  • We only hold personal information that you choose to send us, normally by email or through our enquiry form.
  • We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone for marketing.
  • You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.

Who we are

Raptor Technologies Ltd is the research, development and innovation business within The Leask Group. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Douglas Leask is our contact for data protection matters.

Registered in England and Wales, company number 10154240. Registered office: c/o Andrew Jackson Solicitors LLP, Marina Court, Castle Street, Hull HU1 1TJ. Our operating base is 6 Crowness Road, Hatston Industrial Estate, Kirkwall, Orkney KW15 1RG. You can reach us at info@raptortechnologiesltd.com or on +44 (0)1856 874725.

Information we collect

When you contact us

If you send us an enquiry, we receive whatever you choose to include. Our enquiry form asks for your name, your company, your email address, the area you are interested in, and your message. When you submit the form, those details are transmitted to CloudCannon, the company that hosts this website, which records the submission and forwards it to us by email on our behalf.

We use these details to answer you, and to carry on any correspondence that follows. If your enquiry becomes a project, we may keep the correspondence as part of our normal business records.

Information collected automatically

This website does not set cookies, and it does not run analytics, advertising or social media tracking of any kind. We do not build profiles of visitors and we cannot identify you from browsing alone.

Like almost all websites, the servers that host this site keep standard technical logs, which can include IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested. These are kept by our hosting provider for security, fault diagnosis and reliability, and we do not use them to identify individuals.

Third-party services

Browsing this site makes no requests to third parties. Everything a page needs, including the typefaces, is served from our own domain, and there are no external fonts, maps, videos or social media embeds loading in the background. The one exception is our enquiry form: if you choose to submit it, the details you enter are sent to our hosting provider as described above. Simply reading the site sends nothing to anyone else.

Why we are allowed to hold it

Under UK GDPR we rely on legitimate interests: you have approached us about our work, and we need your details in order to reply and to run our side of the conversation. Where we are already working together, we may also rely on the performance of a contract. You can object to our use of your information at any time, and you can ask us to stop contacting you.

Who else sees it

Your enquiry may be shared with colleagues elsewhere in The Leask Group where they are better placed to answer it, for example on an offshore or engineering question. We also use ordinary business suppliers such as email and IT providers, who process information on our behalf under contract.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing. We will disclose information where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for six months after our last contact with you. Where an enquiry becomes a project, the correspondence is retained with that project record for as long as we need it to meet our legal and commercial obligations, and is deleted after that.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy
  • Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
  • Delete information where we no longer have good reason to hold it
  • Restrict or object to what we are doing with it
  • Provide it in a portable form, where that right applies

Write to info@raptortechnologiesltd.com and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the way we handle information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
